Jamin Goggin lives in Escondido, California with his wife, Kristin, and their four children. As a family, they have endeavored to cultivate a rhythm of life that is prayerful, relational, and adventurous. They love to cultivate their garden, work their land, read books, and explore National Parks. In the years to come, they dream of using their property as a space to provide rest and refreshment for Christian leaders. 

 

Jamin is a pastor, author, and theologian. He speaks and writes from the depths of his own journey. The personally formative impact of retreats, theological training, and spiritual classics, has deeply informed the shape of his ministry. Jamin’s work is motivated by a love for the local church and a passion to care for the spiritual well-being of Christian leaders. 

 

For twenty years, Jamin ministered as a local church pastor. He has been privileged to serve in small, medium sized, and megachurch contexts. He has served as a youth pastor, an associate pastor, and a Lead Pastor. Jamin currently serves as the Director of Content for pastors.com. His diverse and extensive ministry experience has provided him with unique wisdom regarding the pastoral vocation. 

Jamin writes both popularly and academically. He is the author of Beloved Dust and The Way of the Dragon or the Way of the Lamb. He is also the editor of Reading Christian Spiritual Classics.

Jamin’s theological education includes an MA in Spiritual Formation & Soul Care, an MA in New Testament, and a PhD in Systematic Theology. Jamin is a Ministry Affiliate Professor at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. His ongoing theological research is focused in the areas of spiritual formation, pastoral theology, and systematic theology.
